Ravana and the origin of his race

Daitya King Sukesa was married to Gandharva princess, Manimaya and had three sons with her: Malyavantha, Sumali, and Mali. The three brothers performed a great penance and had boons from Bramha Deva. The Great Sculptor Architect of Daityas’ namely Maya (Mayasur) built Swarna Lanka for the three. The 3 brothers settle in Lanka and started invading all the three Lokas and harassing people. Then Devaganas along with their King Indra went to Lord Siva seeking his help. Lord Siva directed them to Lord Vishnu and then Vishnu came for the rescue of all the three Lokas. He killed Mali with his Sudarashana Chakra. Afraid of Vishnu, Sumali and Malyavanth left Lanka and ran to Pathala Lok. Then Kubera, the son of Vishwavasu took the control of Lanka and started living there.

Kubera 

 Suketu, a yaksha king performed tapasya for an offspring. Suketu had desired a son, but Lord Brahma blessed him with a strong and beautiful daughter. She was a beautiful princess Tadaka who was married to Sumali, an Asura King. She had two sons Maricha and Subahu and a daughter, Kaikesi. The escaped Sumali wished her daughter Kaikasi to marry most powerful being in the world so as to produce and exceptional heir who can then re-establish the Rakshasa Kingdom in the 3 lokas. She searched all over the world and selected the great sage and Kubera’s father Vishwavasu to marry. Vishwavasu is a son of Pulastya Bramha, who is one of the ten Prajapathis called Bramha-Manas Putras.

 Kaikasi married Vishwavasu and one fine day asked him about having sons. Vishwavasu warned her that the time she asked about having sons is evening time (asur sandhya) and it is not the right time. If at all anybody born on that time they would be Rakhasas. But she insisted him and first gave birth to 2 sons – Dasa Kanta and Kumbha Karna; later at night she gave birth to Vibheeshana. Thus there is a vast difference in the first 2 and later.

Ravana was thus a  Bramhana Rakshasa . He is a great devotee of Lord Rudra and mastered in 4 Vedas and 6 Upanishads. Thus he is also symbolically said Dasagreeva. Once Kaikasi asked Ravana about having a world’s greatest Siva linga at Lanka for her daily puja. Arrogant Ravana, tried to take Kailasa to Lanka. He lifted Kailasa on his shoulders. Maa Parvathi asked Lord Siva about the leaning of Kailasa. Lord Siva told her that it was Ravana’s act and he simply pressed Kailasa with his thumb. With that Ravana strucked between Kailasa Parvatha and Pridhvi and experienced intolerable pain and shouted very hilariously. This sort of sound is described in Sanskrit as Ravanahh. Thus he got the name.

Ravana took his Lanka from Kubera, and Kubera left to Gandhamadhana Parvatha with his Yaksha and Kinnera Ganas.

Now (2 Yugas Later)

Lemoria: As per the existing geographies, Ravana’s lanka was in Atlantic Ocean west to North America. The island/lanka was called “Lemoria” which was submerged into Atlantic after few years of Ravana’s era.

  The Tamil bark writings in Southern India tell of the gigantic Southern part of India which used to connect to Australia cataclysmically sinking incrementally over a long period of time. This was ancient Lemuria. 

"Lemuria was an ancient civilization which existed prior to and during the time of Atlantis. Physically, it is believed that Lemuria existed largely in the Southern Pacific, between North America and Asia/Australia. Lemuria is also sometimes referred to as Mu, or the Motherland (of Mu). At its peak of civilization, the Lemurian people were both highly evolved and very spiritual. While concrete physical evidence of this ancient continent may be difficult to find, many people "know" that they have a strong connection to Lemuria "

  King Ravana of Lanka (ancient Sri Lanka) brought to the country something called the Pushpaka Vimãna. Vimãna literally means to traverse or to measure. Other uses of the word refer to a temple or a flying machine. The Pushpaka Vimãna is thought to be King Ravana’s flying palace which was shaped like a giant peacock. Ravana's King was highly advanced technologically and spiritually. 

Mayan Race & Civilisation: As earlier said, the Swarna Lanka was built for Sumali by Mayasur. Maya ruled the land around Mexico in North America. That is the reason why we heard about the race and civilisation called “Maaya” in North America. Even this is also the reason for Mexicans even now celebrating RamSita festival.The question arises whether the ancient Hindus of Indonesia had contact with Mayan civilization across the pacific which is evident from the pyramid constructions in Indonesia very similar to that of the Mayans.The “White Island” is a symbolical name.  Asuramâya is said to have lived (see the tradition of Jhána-bhaskara) in Romaka-pura in the West: because the name is an allusion to the land and cradle of the “Sweat-born” of the Third Race. That land or continent had disappeared ages before Asuramâya lived, since he was an Atlantean; but he was a direct descendant of the Wise Race, the Race that never dies.  Many are the legends concerning this hero, the pupil of Surya (the Sun-God) himself, as the Indian accounts allege … Asuramâya, “as great a magician as he was an Astrologer and an Astronomer.”

Hindu records say that a member of a great race which preceded ours, a highly-developed personage known as Asuramaya, learned all the basic cosmic cycles and used his knowledge to determine the durations of the various geological and cyclical periods of human evolution. The chronology and computations of their still used Tamil calendar, say the Brahmans, are based upon the works of Asuramaya and upon carefully maintained collateral zodiacal records. Their most ancient extant work on astronomy, the Surya Siddhanta, says that Asuramaya lived toward the end of the Krita-yuga, a former age that ended approximately 2,165,000 years before the present. This would place Asuramaya at something less than 2.5 million years ago.”

"Recent studies suggests a link between Indus Valley and Mayans of Central America. The studies focused on the calendars of the two advanced civilizations. The Indus Valley inhabitants followed a calendar based on the movements of Jupiter, and the Mayans followed one based on the Venus. In the Puranas, a secondary Hindu scripture, Jupiter, Brihaspati, was acknowledged to be the teacher of the gods, while Venus, Shukra, was the teacher of the asuras. The texts further state that the followers of devas and followers of asuras lived on opposite sides of the Earth.

More interestingly, if you observe the names of Ravana’s grandfather:

Sumali/Sumalaya: In Africa, right now we have a nation called “Somalia” whose name was derived from the name of Sumali/Sumalaya. Observe the physical characteristics of humans in these countries: Black, above 6 foot, very strong physic etc. Apart from this we have very dangerous Pirates there as of now. See the table below, the Sumalian Mythology speaks of giants and demons who were cannibalistic, Shape Shifters and magicians like Rakshasas, which clearly explains in Rakshasa origin. 

Giants and demons

Habbad ina Kamas (Giant)	Habbad ina Kamas was a legendary cruel giant who ruled half of ancient Somalia. Habbad oppressive rule was the complete opposite to the kindness and care that was bestowed upon the other half of the land ruled by the giant Biriir ina Barqo. He was eventually defeated and slain in battle by Biriir, when the latter found out about Habbad's tyranny.
Biriir ina Barqo (Giant)	Biriir ina Barqo was a legendary heroic giant in ancient Somalia known for his just rule and kindness. He lived in a cave called Shimbiraale (the cave of birds) and used to wear a heavy ring that no man could lift. He answered the pleas of those suffering under the rule of the giant called Habbad and defeated him in battle. He then united the two lands and ushered in a long period of peace.
Qori ismaris ("One who rubs himself with a stick")	Qori ismaris was a man who could transform himself into a "Hyena-man" by rubbing himself with a magic stick at nightfall and by repeating this process could return to his human state before dawn.
Dhegdheer ('"One with long ears")	Dhegdheer was a female cannibalistic demon who hunted in Somali forests. Her victims were usually wandering or lost children. Very similar to the cannibalistic witch living deep in the forest in the German folktale Hansel and Gretel.

About Sri Lanka – It is treated as actual Ravana’s lanka in contemporary scenario. But it might not be as per the above research. Also Ravana’s lanka was a Swarna Lanka which was ruled by Vibheeshana after Ravana’s era. Then why it is treated as Ravana’s lanka?

The reason could be Ravana placed Sita in this Island, thus it got the name like Sita Lanka which later became Sri Lanka. Sita is treated as ansh of Goddess Lakshmi who is also referred as “Sri”. Thus Sita Lanka might have become Sri Lanka.

Andaman & Nicobar Islands

 The reason behind this Island’s name is that Lord Hanuman took some rest over this Island while travelling to Sita Lanka. The Bushman in this Island worship Hanuman as their god thus it was called Handaman which later became Andaman.Andaman’s appearance in history is as ancient as the epic Ramayana and its main characters, Rama, Hanuman, Sita and Ravana. The legendary Monkey God Hanuman is believed to have landed here on the way to Ravana’s kingdom in Sri Lanka, while searching for Lord Rama’s abducted wife, Sita. And that is perhaps the reason for the name “Andaman” which is derived from the Malay word “Handuman” or Hanuman
