Ganesha
Lord Ganesha |
Ganesha, also known as Ganapati and Vinayaka is a widely worshipped deity in the Hindu pantheon. His image is found throughout India and Nepal. Hindu sects worship him regardless of affiliations.Devotion
to Ganesha is widely diffused and extends to Jains,
Buddhists, and beyond India.
Although he is known by many attributes, Ganesha's elephant head makes him easy to identify. Ganesha is widely revered as the
remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the deva of
intellect and wisdom. As the god
of beginnings, he is honoured at the start of rituals and ceremonies.
From approximately the 10th century onwards, new networks of exchange developed including the formation of trade guilds and a resurgence of money circulation. During this time, Ganesha became the principal deity associated with traders. The earliest inscription invoking Ganesha before any other deity is associated with the merchant community

A recent archeological find in Kuwait
unearthed a gold-plated statue of the Hindu deity Ganesh.
A
Muslim resident of Kuwait requested historical research material that can help
explain the connection
between
Hindu civilisation and Arabia.
Before
the arrival of Islam,
Afghanistan had close cultural ties with India, and the adoration of both Hindu
and Buddhist deities was practiced. Examples of sculptures from the 5th to the
7th centuries have survived, suggesting that the worship of Ganesha was then in
vogue in the region.
Lord Ganesha’s idol found in Kuwait
suggests that there was worship of Hindu Gods in ancient Arabia. Lord Ganesh is
been worshipped widely in different parts of the world as he is the God who
removes obstacles. When ISRO launches each satellite they do Ganesha Pooja to
satisfy the Lord. India being a developing country is now in position to commit
with the other space science Agencies of developed countries around the world.
(India’s satellite in moon, founded traces of water). Zakir Naik’s ancestors
have prayed to Hindu deities some hundred years ago…more over every person is
born to earth as a Hindu as in case of Islam and Christianity there are
ceremonies that makes the particular man belong to either Islam or Christianity
. Hindus do not have such ceremonies. No religion in the world has right to insult
another, and no holy books tells this…I don’t know WHY Zakir Naik DOES this. He
tells that he wants to unify the religions but he is really trying to bring the
world under a single roof “ISLAM”.
Scientists say that Hindu Holy text
should not be considered just as Historical or Mythical text in connection with
Religion but a scientific record of Ancient facts.
+ Before the discovery of planes,
non-Hindus used to say that the “PUSHPAK VIMANA” described in Ramayana, the
plane of demon King Ravan as a Myth or imagination of the poet…when the book (RAMAYANA)
clearly describes the machine features. Later Aeroplane was discovered which
shut their mouths.
Vimana |
+ HINDU TEXTS had description of
Earth and other planet. The ancient sagas even knew that there were 9 planets
and worshipped the planets for good fortune.
+ “THE SHAPE OF EARTH: When every
religion around the world told that Earth is flat, Hindu texts gave clear description
of earth as its shape is round…Clear descriptions of other galaxies and life
supporting planets. Remember that these records were written in the Vedic
period of mankind…all this knowledge was given to them by the higher being who
came from above.
Maharishi Bhrigu |
+ Astrology: It’s a science developed by Maharishi Bhrigu was one of the seven great sages, the Saptarshis, in ancient India, one of the many Prajapatis (the facilitators of Creation) created by Brahma (The God of Creation), the first compiler of predictive astrology, and also the author of Bhrigu Samhita, the astrological (Jyotish) classic written during the Vedic period.
The Indian 'science' of foretelling the future - which has become popular as Vedic Astrology the world over, is called 'Jyotish Vidya' or the 'Science of Light'. 'Jyotish', (jyot = light, ish = god) can also be defined as the 'Light of God'. Sacred scriptures refer to Jyotish Vidya as the key to understanding the soul's intention for incarnation. And the Vedic Astrologer or 'Jyotishi', is considered the "dispeller of the darkness."
Jyotishi Asish Kumar Das, says: "Astrology is the mother of all sciences, in which the Earth has been considered as a unit of the solar family and the effects of the other members of the solar family on our planet and vice-versa. All these have been taken into account for analysis and its pros and cons are used for the benefit of people. Astrology is not magic! It's purely based on astronomy and mathematics. It is the most beautiful palace of knowledge with the most puzzling entrance. The basic difference between the work of an astrologer and that of a doctor or a lawyer is that an astrologer should only narrate what he sees in a horoscope…" because everything is pre-destined.
Bejan Daruwalla, India's most celebrated astrologer says: "Astrology is a mirror to life. It is also a guideline. It is certainly not 100% correct. No discipline is. But it helps within limits, just as psychology, economics, psychiatry does. Nothing is absolutely final and completely certain. But the chances of predictions coming right are good. Also, character analysis of Astrology often helps. Astrology is not a crutch. It is to be used to heal one's self."
Shiva and Kashyapa
Aditya was one of the sons of the
great sage Kashyapa, one of the seven great Rishi or sages and father of all DEVAS (or Deities) and Demons . According to the story,God Shiva punished Aditya by cutting off his head. Kashyapa
cursed the great lord Shiva that the same fate would befall to the first born son
of God Shiva . One day when Lord Shiva was away, Goddess Parvati wanted to take bath in the river. To guard against any unwelcome intrusion, she took a little turmeric paste from her body and created a young boy meditating on GOD SHIVA. She gave him clear instructions not to allow any body inside. Unfortunately at this time Lord Shiva returned. The new boy refused him admission, though lord Shiva told him that he is the husband of Parvati. Lord Shiva became very angry and went away asking Nandi to get the child removed from his path. Ganesh fought with Nandi and defeated him. Even the whole Shivganas failed to cop up with the strength of Ganesha. Finally God Shiva cut off the head of the boy and threw it away using his trident. At this time, Goddess Parvati came back and became very sad, that the boy created by her was killed. Lord Shiva sent his army to bring the first head that that they see on their way. The first head that they saw was the head of dying elephant.God Shiva fixed that head on the boy's trunk and brought him back to life. Bhagavan Shiva is the Creator, Protector and Destroyer. He can give life and take life. He is the Almighty God of GODS

ACT OF GOD SHIVA : AS we know GOD SHIVA is the destroyer of ego and arrogance in people.God Shiva is TRIKALDARSHI- (TRI –three, KAL –time, DARSHI – viewer). He KNOWS the FUTURE, just like how he knows the past and present. After this incident ,God Shiva made his elephant headed son the leader of his Ganas. Thus, Ganapati was born. Ganapati is another name for lord Ganesha where Gana means attendants and Pati means lord ie. Lord of the Ganas. He also bestowed upon Ganesha the boon that before every new venture and every prayer, people would always invoke the name of lord Ganesha first and foremost.

Different Devas gave Ganesha different boon which later made Lord Ganesha, an important deity in Hindu religion.
